Protector Smiles (プロテクトスマイル, Purotekutosumairu) are enemies in killer7. They are a special variety of Heaven Smile which are first encountered by the Smith Syndicate at ISZK-LAND during the events of Target03: Encounter. However, they are quickly superseded by their improved models, the Protector Z and Protector ZZ Smiles.

Protector Smiles are large, bulky and slow. Their presence can be identified by their deep laugh and the tell-tale heavy clanking noise they make as they walk. Like most Smiles, they simply walk towards their target and explode; however, Protectors are covered in a layer of armour that renders them completely impervious to all forms of attack - except MASK de Smith's grenade shells. They are one of the few enemies in the game, along with the other Protector models, that MASK can obtain Thick Blood from.
