|First appearance||No More Heroes (2007)|
The SFX Converter is a weapon in both installments of the No More Heroes video game series. It is an advanced technological weapon capable of granting its user "superhuman" strength as well as the ability to project several different particle beams. It is battery-powered and consists of peripherals designed to fit the pelvis, arms and head. Destroyman, a recognized user of the device, fires a powerful particle beam dubbed the "Destroy Buster" from the SFX Converter's pelvic attachment.
The SFX Converter appears on five trading cards in the Design Materials set of No More Heroes. Trading Card No. 65 depicts the head peripheral, while on Trading Card No. 66 the arm peripheral appears. Trading Card No. 67 features the pelvis and head peripherals, as well as the battery pack and wires normally hidden behind Destroyman's cape. On trading cards No. 64 and No. 139, Destroyman is illustrated with every SFX Converter attachment equipped.
- Trading cards which feature concept art of the SFX Converter reveal that early in the development of No More Heroes, it was originally called the SFX-converter, with the dash dropped from its name and "Converter" spelled in lowercase.
